Welcome to Hart Industries, Inc. Our story begins in 1969 when Edward G. Hart, Jr. started the company in the historic area of Baltimore City known as Fells Point. Initially, we served as a distributor of industrial and paper packaging products. Our customer's needs soon allowed Hart Industries to invest in machines to convert, print, die-cut and laminate pressure sensitive tapes. Hart Industries then became an authorized distributor / converter for the 3M Company for the mid-Atlantic Region.
Hart Industries changed facilities as their business grew. They relocated to the "TV Hill section of Baltimore City in 1979. In 1983, Hart Industries acquired its first wide web four color printing press. This allowed printing of "bundling" or "label" tape for manufacturers of Gypsum Board. Soon, other presses were acquired allowing Hart Industries to enter other markets such as toilet tissue wrap and margarine and butter wrap.
Our gains in market share allowed us to obtain printing presses that print from 20 to 76 inches wide. This remains a relatively unique capability. In 1989, the production was moved to its current facility in Owings Mills, Maryland. Efficient machinery has continued to be added to expand our capabilities.
Although this is a story of growth and change, our founding principal has remained the same - to meet the customer's needs and exceed their expectations.
We invite you to contact us regarding your needs. We know our customer service, value pricing and quality products will win your business.
